Removable furniture

Removable furniture is a kind of furniture which can make furniture by ourselves. Pictures below show removable furniture.

Compared to traditional furniture, it has some advantages. The first one is it can reduce the damage of furniture when packaging and transporting. The second is when people want to change room’s layout, it is easier to move these furniture, also people can change the shape of furniture according to their own like. The last one is they are made of artificial materials which can instead of wood, this is beneficial for environment. Moreover, removable furniture is easy to recycle.
However, design this kind of furniture is not a easy thing, because it should consider choice of materials and some other characteristics, also the shape is single. Additionally, customers would spend much time to assemble furniture, sometimes, even though there are specifications, it is not easy and may have wrong order when assembling, and some furniture may not be reassembled several times.

When I first went to ikea, I was so surprised furniture be assembled by myself. It was so difficult to do this, but when I was successful, I feel very good. After that, I like assembling things such as chair, bed and electric fan.

The bottle of chewing gum

I think some people have a habit to chew gum, I like it too, I think it not only can exercise my facial muscles, but can freshen breath after meals. However, how can I deal with it if there are no bins after chewing gum? And also if we throw it into bins, it is difficult to clean. In this blog, I will introduce an interesting chewing gum bottle, which can solve this trouble.
The creative bottle called green seeds, which is designed by Chinese designer Jiang Gonglue. He devide normal chewing gum bottle into two parts, the top part which is used for chewing gum, and the bottom part which is used as bin, both these parts can open. There are some small papers in the middle of the bottle, so after chewing gum, you can use these paper and put the wastes into the bottom of the bottle. Pictures blow show green seeds.

It is convenient for people who like chewing, it is interesting and environmental friendly as well. I think maybe it can add some devices so that after put wastes into the bottle, it can separate the paper and gums, so that paper can be recycled and reused. That is just my own opinion, I would like to try it by myself.

Indoor air pollution 2

Last blog, I introduced causes and effects of poor indoor air quality, this blog, I will provide some solutions to deal with indoor air pollution. From the source of pollution, there are several basic methods to control indoor air pollution include source control, source isolation, increased ventilation, dehumidification, and filtration. Possible sources of contamination should be considered in source-control strategy. For example, banning smoking in public buildings, using carefully selected building materials to avoid the emission of toxic or irritating substances, and limiting the use of fibrous materials. Source-isolation strategy is used in situations where a source cannot be completely eliminated. For instance, copy machine areas, food service stations, and bathrooms are often separately set outside buildings to avoid the recirculation of return air. Increased ventilation and filtration are traditional approaches to ensure good indoor air quality. Dehumidification helps in the reduction of microbial growth. Low humidity should be maintained inside a house to limit the growth of such bacteria.

Indoor air quality plays an important role in people’s health. when I searched for indoor air quality, a study caught my attention, which is people spend average eight hours at home, for women in China, they would spend more than this average time. Therefore, poor indoor air quality is much harmful for health.
